“May we think of freedom not as the right to do what we please, but
as the opportunity to do what is right.”
Every year we relive the
moment and enjoy the spirit of freedom at our Independence Day celebrations. Gajera
Vidyabhavan – Utran celebrated the 77th Independence Day with immense
patriotic zeal and enthusiasm. The
celebration commenced with the flag-hoisting ceremony by our Trustee Shri Chunibhai
Gajera and Guest of honor Mr. Manmohan Sharma (Ex. Airforce Officer), Mr.
Arvind Patel (Ex. Airforce Officer), Mr. Suman Patel (Ex. Airforce Officer),
Mr. N. K. Desai (Ex. Airforce Officer), Mr. J. E. Gandhi (Ex. Airforce
Officer), Dr. Kashyap Ramoliya (Orthopedic Surgeon) and Ms. Dhruvi Kapadiya
(State Secretary of Women Empowerment Wing). It was followed by National
Anthem. A March Past was presented by the Learners which enthralled the
audience.
The Guests addressed the gathering by reiterating the
way our brave freedom fighters sacrificed their lives, happiness and families –
just so we could enjoy the taste of liberty. They encouraged the Learners to
remain Indian at heart, whichever part of the world they decided to live in.
The Learners, dressed in the vibrant colours of the
nation – green, white and saffron – performed a medley of heart
touching patriotic songs and energetic dances. Through their serenade,
they declared to be willing to sacrifice everything for their nation and
rejoiced in the unity that continued to exist despite their diversity.
Indeed, it was a day of jubilation and pride instilling
values and reverence in the heart of every young Indianite.
