National Science Day commemorates the discovery of the ‘Raman Effect’ by the Nobel laureate and scientist CV Raman.
National Science Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at GVU Prep Section, Utran with various activities planned for learners. Kinder Gajerians engaged in simple science experiments and demonstrations to spark their curiosity and interest in the subject. Educators used colorful visuals and hands-on activities to make science come alive for the little ones.
To promote active involvement of learners and educators in science related activity, In the classroom, educators conducted exciting experiments and demonstrations to engage learners in hands-on learning. The practical approach to teaching science helped learners to understand complex concepts in a fun and interactive way. Educators had done the following experiments with learners like- Magnets attract iron, Secret Picture, Water fountain with balloon, water pressure, Air takes space, Dancing popcorn, Flame goes off in the absence of oxygen, Water balance on paper, Colour change experiments etc.
Through these experiments, learners not only learned scientific principles but also developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Parents were also involved in the celebration, as they collaborated with their children on science projects at home. This not only strengthened the bond between parents and learners but also encouraged a love for science outside of the classroom. The projects were displayed during the event, showcasing the creativity and hard work of both parents and learners.
As part of the celebration, learners had the opportunity to visit a science exhibition where they were exposed to various scientific concepts and innovations. The interactive displays and demonstrations captivated the learners and inspired them to explore the wonders of science further.
Overall, the National Science Day celebration at our school was a huge success, fostering a love for science among learners and encouraging them to explore the world of possibilities that science has to offer. It was a day filled with learning, exploration, and excitement, leaving a lasting impact on all those who participated.
