"Never Forget the Sacrifice of Our Freedom Fighters Who Formed This Country."
15 August 1947, the date any Indian can hardly forget, the day of freedom, the day that bought hope, the day that made India independent seventy-six (76) years ago is celebrated with the same hope, enthusiasm, happiness, and patriotism.
India is celebrating its 77th year of Independence on August 15th, 2023. We as Indians pay respect to all the leaders who fought bravely for our nation's freedom in the past. This day reminds us of all the sacrifices that were made by our freedom fighters in order to set India free from British rule.
To promote nationalism and patriotism towards the nation Gajera Vidyabhavan Utran prep section had celebrated " INDEPENDENCE DAY" with great enthusiasm. Learners came in Tri- Colour dress. some learners also came in as national leaders' dress up. The program started with prayer - "Vaishnavajan to tene re kahiye re..." Our educator explained the importance of celebrating Independence Day,national symbols of India, and the importance of the colours in our National Educators presented a dance performance on "Des ki beti" .
At the end all the Kinder Gajerians tapped their feet on the song "Des rangeela'' and expressed their love for the nation.They have done various art and craft activities on the theme of our National Flag during Art - craft club. The principal madam explained to the learners about what independence is ? through a story, the sacrifices of freedom fighters and how we got freedom. She told the learners about the supreme sacrifice the great martyrs who gave their lives for the sake of freedom. She also said that the freedom was very precious and it was very necessary to preserve it.We must take little responsibility to conserve resources and be self reliant.
As a part of Independence day celebration the "India's Freedom Fighters" a role play competition was held in prep section.The main goal of the competition was to help toddlers to learn about the ideals,the great individual did great deeds for the country and can imbibe some of the leaders' inspiring qualities. It opens up an opportunity to gain knowledge get a peek into our country,rich history, culture, learn important values and think to serve India in many different ways. Learners have participated very enthusiastically and shown their spirit of patriotism through this competition.The competition was judged by Mr.Krunal Parekh, a drama artist,a drama director , having 10 years of experience in acting field,worked in serials,Plays and films.The another judge was Ms. Ankita Patel,an educator of the Higher secondary section, English medium,Utran. Learners have participated very enthusiastically and shown their spirit of patriotism through this competition.After the competition, learners took part in a quiz that tested their independence quotient.
