Constitution Day of India_Nov.-2024

Empowering Learners Through Constitutional Knowledge
The Learners of Shree H J Gajera English Medium School Utran, came together with enthusiasm and pride as learners celebrated National Constitution Day, honouring the foundational values that shape our nation. The event aimed to instill a deep understanding of the Indian Constitution and the principles it upholds, making it a memorable day of learning and reflection for learners and teachers alike.
The celebration began with a vibrant activity centered around the Preamble of the Indian Constitution. Learners gathered around a large poster of the Preamble, engaging in a unique interactive session. Taking turns, they explained the significance of each term in the Preamble, highlighting India’s values of sovereignty, socialism, secularism, democracy, and republicanism.
A learner confidently explained, “Sovereign means India is completely independent. We make our own decisions without interference from any other country.” Another added, “Socialist means we believe in reducing inequality and ensuring everyone gets a fair share of resources.” These thoughtful interpretations deepened learners’ understanding and emphasised how these principles guide the nation’s progress.
A Showcase of Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity
Moving beyond definitions, the event focused on the practical implications of the Constitution’s core values.
The celebration culminated in a united chorus, with all learners stating, “These values make India strong, united, and proud. Happy National Constitution Day.” The Indian flag in the background served as a powerful symbol of the shared commitment to uphold these ideals.

The event didn’t just stop at the Preamble. A Quiz were held on key aspects of the Constitution, including fundamental rights and duties. Learners learned about their rights to education, freedom, and equality, as well as their responsibilities to the environment, community, and nation. These activities aimed to instill a sense of civic duty and encourage learners to become responsible citizens.
