Sunita’s Makerspace is a vibrant hub for innovation, where passionate individuals collaborate on creative and sustainable projects. It has launched a unique virtual platform for makers to express their hopes, dreams, and happiness. This space fosters peer-to-peer learning and encourages youth to become tomorrow’s leaders.
Every year on October 12, we celebrate Maker’s Day to develop learners’ Skills. The vision of SMakerspace is empowering young creators but also features a theme that inspires innovation and creativity. SMakerspace provides spaces for individuals to cultivate their innovative minds, creativity, social, and synergy through events, workshops, and other 16 club activities like music, drama, photography, maths, and more.
This year, the theme was "PLANT A SMILE." In line with this theme, the Gajera Vidyabhavan Pre-Primary Section in Utran organized nine exciting days of activities, which included:
Leaf Art: Creating beautiful artworks usin leaves.
Youngest Maker: Wooden blocks activities to enhance creativity and fine motor skills.
Joyful Jungle Junction: Save Animals activity, focusing on awareness and conservation efforts.
Joy and Shine: Animals Yoga activity to promote mindfulness and relaxation.
Nature Walk: Exploring the environment and observing nature.
Genius Shape Makers: Crafting various shapes from paper.
LEGO Creative Treasure and Pottery Session: Building with LEGO and making clay toys.
Little Painters: Encouraging artistic expression through tree painting.
Better Together: Helping Hand activity, where learners engage in community service projects.
Navli Navratri: Celebrating cultural diversity through Havan and traditional activities.
During these activities, learners engaged in nature walks, leaf printing, block making, shape crafting, yoga, and more. Through these hands-on experiences, learners developed Creativity, Teamwork, Environmental Awareness, Motor Skills, Cultural Appreciation.
The "PLANT A SMILE" initiative not only fostered creativity and collaboration among young makers but also instilled values of environmental stewardship and cultural appreciation. These activities provided a platform for learners to express themselves and celebrate their unique talents. This spirit of innovation and joy continues to thrive within the walls of Sunita’s Makerspace, inspiring future generations to make a difference!
