The 75th Republic Day was celebrated with pride and reverence at Gajera Vidyabhavan Utran. It was a matter of great pride for all of us. The ceremony began with the hoisting of the tricolor flag by our Trustee Shri Chunibhai Gajera along with Assistant Commandent Mr. Rahul Patil, Havaldar Mr. Mukesh Patil, Dr. Mohit Goyal (a Neuro Surgeon), Mr.&Ms. P B. Makhwana, Dr.Hareshkumar Korat (Owner of Korat Pharma), Mr. Ganesh Val and Murtiman Prabbhuji from Iskcon, Surat.
Flag hoisting was followed by the National Anthem to pay tribute to the motherland. The celebration commenced with the address to the Learners by the Principal. She dedicated the celebration to the undying human spirit to triumph in the face of adversity and touched upon the measures being taken by the nation to help the citizens tide over the economic crises. It was then followed by various cultural performances. The performances included Dance, Music, Yoga, Skating and talks by the Learners. Listening to and singing patriotic songs, triggered in the children and teachers alike, many emotions; pride, love and respect for the country. National level players were also felicitated for their effortless hard work towards making their school and parents proud.
No celebration is complete without making us feel proud of the fact that, “Saare Jaahan se Acchha Hindustan Hamara”.
