A role play area is a fun and a ‘playful’ activity but also a key component in children’s learning. It is a social space that develops speaking and listening skills, as well as giving children the opportunity to reflect on and develop their knowledge of a topic, whilst sparking and enhancing creativity and imagination.
It is a fun theatrical exercise that is a cross between improvisation and performing in a play. It blends creativity with the structure to help actors hone their craft. It is an activity presenting a small act where the participant gets an opportunity to imitate different characters, gain experience, showcase speaking and presentation skills.
With an aim to bring out the hidden acting talent of our Learners while helping them build up experience and confidence, Role Play Competition was organized for the Learners of Std 1st to 4th.
The objective of this competition was not only to blend learning with fun but also to develop confidence in the little ones. The event was a blend of learning with fun as Gajerians enacted themselves as different kinds of food as the theme was Healthy Food. The excitement of our young actors knew no bounds as they waited eagerly for their turn to perform.
The Learners portrayed themselves with great conviction and confidence. It proved to be a great learning experience for all the children. The competition also helped in stimulating the imagination of the young minds as they exhibited their acting and communication skills.
