77th-Independence Day,2023

“15th AUGUST” India celebrates Independence Day on August 15 each year as a national holiday. Independence Day commemorates the establishment of a free and independent India following the end of British rule in 1947. Every Indian is reminded on this day of the commencement of a new era, one that saw them freed from the more than 200-year shackles of British colonialism.

On August 15, 2023, India commemorated its 77th year of Independence. Many schools and colleges celebrated the ‘Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsava’, with the theme ‘Nation First, Always First. Amrit Mahotsav means Nectar of grand celebration which signifies the 75 years of India’s independence from the British Raj. Like every year, our Gajera school, Utran celebrated a special event on Independence Day with pomp and great joy. The program started with prayer at 08:00 am. A parade was organized which was led by NCC Cadets. After the parade was over,  Mr. Manmohan Sharma Sir – Ex. Airforce Officer , Mr. Arvind Patel – Ex. Airforce Officer , Mr. Suman Patel –  Ex. Airforce Officer, Mr. N. K. Desai-  Ex. Airforce Officer, Mr. J. E. Gandhi – Ex. Airforce Officer, Dr. Kashyap Ramoliya, Orthopedic Surgeon, our honorable trustee Shree Chuni Sir unfurled the flag at around 8:45. After that, different types of programs were presented by the students.

A cultural program was also held in the school where students of all classes participated. Some students sang patriotic songs and some recited poems. We sing the national anthem to celebrate Independence Day every year, and ceremonies to raise the flag are held all around the nation.

Drills are also held. Guest appreciated the consistent endeavors of our armed forces in protecting our country bravely. He urged students to realize, understand and cherish our coveted freedom and work towards a progressive nation. He extended his warm greetings on the occasion. Independence Day has great importance in every citizen’s life. This day reminds us every year that freedom is sacred and citizens must do everything to ensure that it shall not be endangered.
