अर्थ : हे महाभाग्यवती ज्ञानरूपा कमल के समान विशाल नेत्र वाली, ज्ञानदात्री सरस्वती ! मुझको विद्या दो, मैं आपको प्रणाम करता हूँ ।
Vasant Panchami is one of the most popular spring festivals of India, celebrated across different
parts of the country with fun and fervor. The festival, celebrated on the fifth day of the month of Magh, marks the end of the winter season and welcomes the arrival of the spring season.
Vasant Panchami is also celebrated as the birthday of Goddess Saraswati, who symbolizes knowledge, wisdom, purity and truth. Worshipping Goddess Saraswati on this day is considered very auspicious, especially to begin a child’s education.
The festival of Vasant Panchami is associated with yellow colour, a colour of spirituality. The colour holds a special meaning for this celebration, as it signifies bright yellow sunshine, brilliance of nature and the vibrancy of life.

To mark this occasion, GVU Prep section had organized Vasant Panchami celebration in school premises. Symbolizing the happy occasion and season, learners were dressed in yellow.
The celebration started by lighting the lamp in front of Goddess Saraswati. All the learners chanted the Goddess Saraswati Vidya Mantra"ओम ऐं नमः" in chorus.

The incorporation of art and craft activities not only adds a creative element to the celebration but also helps learners to develop important skills and a sense of accomplishment.
