International Mother Language Day

International Mother Language Day is a worldwide observance held on February 21st each year to promote linguistic and cultural diversity and to raise awareness about the importance of mother languages.

At GVU Prep section, this day was celebrated with various activities and events to honor and preserve different languages and cultures. The International Mother Language Day celebration began  with a special assembly.

Learners delivered speeches, sung songs, perform folk dances, in many different languages such as Punjabi, Hindi, Kashmiri, Asami, Gujarati, Rajasthani Marathi and other languages. This was to promote awareness among the learners of linguistic and cultural diversity and foster love for the mother language, in the disappearances of languages across the world.

The celebration ended with a message by the Principal Geeta Ma'am to foster love for the mother tongue as a primary tool for understanding and communication.

The International Mother Language Day celebration in our school served as a reminder of the importance of preserving and promoting mother languages as a vital part of our cultural identity. It encouraged learners to embrace their linguistic heritage and celebrate the beauty of diversity in language and culture.
