Seminar on Reduce, Reuse, Recycle_Oct-2024#PlantaSmile

The phrase Reduce, Reuse, Recycle is often used when we talk about how to be more environmentally friendly, how to be greener, how to be ecologically sound and how to live sustainably.
But what does it really mean?
To give the in-depth knowledge of RRR, We at Shree H J Gajera English Medium Primary school arranged a special seminar for our students under the campaign #plantasmile.
The speaker Mr Piyush Nakum, Mr Dhaval Patel and Mr Mehul Patel invited from R.N.G PATEL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLGY – BARDOLI to share their expertise with our students. Students have experienced the Fabric made out of recycled plastic. Recycled polyester, also known as rPET, is obtained by melting down existing plastic (like old plastic bottles) and re-spinning it into new polyester fiber.
Recycled polyamide is usually made from pre-consumer fabric waste, though it may also come from post-consumer materials like industrial fishing nets.
In 2024, the world is expected to generate 220 million tons of plastic waste, which is equivalent to an average of 28 kilograms per person. This is due to an imbalance between the amount of plastic consumed and the ability to manage it at the end of its life.
Continuing to find new alternatives to single-use plastic and creating new habits beyond Plastic Free LIFE is a powerful way to make a lasting impact on our environment. This will serves as a great starting point for change, the habits and changes started during this time can easily extend into the rest of the year.
Whether it’s swapping one (or more ) single-use plastics for reusables, making mindful purchasing decisions, or encouraging others to join, every step contributes to making a big difference.
