The festival of Diwali also holds great importance in Hindu tradition. On this day, Lord Rama returned to Ayodhya with Maa Sita and his brother Laxman after spending 14 years in exile and defeating the evil King Ravana. It is said that the people of Ayodhya organized a grand ceremony on the occasion of their triumphant return. The whole kingdom was lit up with bright lamps, diyas and fireworks.
Such celebrations bring the learners closer to each other’s traditions and cultural beliefs and develop respect and understanding for each other’s customs and traditions. To understand the rich heritage of India and learn about the importance of the festival Diwali, Diwali Celebration was held in GVU, Prep Section.
The function started with a prayer to seek divine blessings. This was followed by a heart capturing performance by Kinder Gajerians and educators as they swayed to the tunes of a “Happiness Dance" and made everyone rock. A Skit was presented by the educators giving a message of celebrating Green and Eco-Friendly Diwali.
To learn the value of life, making the Diwali celebration special, for our happiness ,Kinder Gajerians visited underprivileged children with their educators. As a token of love our Kinder Gajerians distributed clothes and toys to them. It was a good experience to look at the joy of this children. The main aim was to give them joy and bring sweet smiles on their faces. How we can kindle their lives with a little support. It was an actual Diwali celebration for all of us.
Every festival is incomplete without its traditional food. 'Diwali Dabba Party ‘was organized for Kinder Gajerians with the aim of inculcating the spirit of sharing, caring and eating among the children and making them aware about our traditional snacks. They shared their snacks with their friends and enjoyed 'Diwali Dabba Party'.The day came to an end with lots of joy and happiness sparkling on the faces of every achiever.
